Raising Money for St. Nicholas Hospice Care We’re a busy lot at the Plough, but not so busy that we can’t find the time to raise some much needed cash for people in the community around us. Our chosen charity for this year is St Nicholas Hospice Care in Bury St. Edmunds, who give palliative care for terminally ill patients in their final days, and also support their families. They work tirelessly to provide a very valuable service to the local community, relying solely on funding. |

Indian Banquet Night at the Plough

Charity Steak Night Tuesday 2nd December, 6pm-9pm, booking strongly recommended. Our final Tuesday Steak Night of 2008 goes out with a bang, as we raise funds for the hospice. Enjoy any two prime, local steaks plus a bottle of house red or white wine for only £30 per couple, with £6 going to St. Nicholas Hospice Care in Bury St. Edmunds. Good food and good karma! |

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas at the Plough... The season to be jolly is very nearly upon us, and we're already gearing up for the most fun, sparkly Christmas the Plough has ever seen! We're now taking bookings for our Festive Lunches, which are a steal at only £9.95 for two courses, or a credit-crunch busting £14.95 for all three courses.

Christmas Charity Shopping and Auction Evening Monday 8th December 2008, from 8.30pm. Tickets are priced at £3, 50% to St. Nicholas Hospice Care. Enjoy a mince pie and mulled wine on arrival, a roaring fire, easy parking and no queues while you do your Christmas shopping stress free at the Plough! We have four great retailers, who will be here on the evening with unusual, stylish and affordable presents. Also, why not bid in our Charity Auction, with all proceeds going to St. Nicholas Hospice Care? Prizes kindly donated by the retailers, plus a meal for two at the Plough, a magnum of Joseph Perrier Champagne and more... Retailers on the evening will be Virgin Vie Skincare & Cosmetics, Candle and Blue Lifestyle Boutique in Bury St. Edmunds, Partylite and of course St Nicholas Hospice Care Retail. |

Monday 15th December 2008, from 8.30pm in the pub. Entry is £1 per person (max 6 per team), with half going to St. Nicholas Hospice Care, and half going to the overall winners on the evening!
